The work of Samaritan’s Purse continued around the world in 2021 as we responded to vast need in many hurting communities, working hard in Jesus’ Name. Through continued travel restrictions and lockdowns, the immense need did not stop and God was faithful to work in the hearts of many people worldwide.

Abroad, Samaritan’s Purse responded to the affected peoples of Haiti and the Philippines in the wake of significant natural disasters. Humanitarian relief was also administered in Afghanistan and Ethiopia.
Natural disasters ravaged both east and west coasts of Australia, in Western Australia. Samaritan’s Purse responded, distributing food & essential supplies as well as providing recovery to 84 flood-damaged homes.

Samaritan’s Purse Australia & New-Zealand implemented multiple Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects, positively impacting over 17,000 people by improving access to clean water for drinking and domestic use.
Samaritan’s Purse Australia & New Zealand engaged in four projects across the Asia Pacific region, providing farming assets such as high-yielding animals or farm structures together with training to secure income streams for families for the future
Samaritan’s Purse Australia & New Zealand undertook five new projects in Cambodia during 2021, starting with the construction of two primary schools in Cheng Meng and An Chanh.
We are also sincerely grateful for the faithful and passionate work of our Australian & New Zealand donors and volunteers who stepped up to bless over 210,000 children across six countries in 2021.

Our teams set up Emergency Field Hospitals in Italy, New York City and the Bahamas to help local hospitals deal with the surge of COVID-19 patients. We also trained people in prevention measures, and distributed protective supplies and hygiene kits across 24 countries.
Samaritan's Purse deployed its international disaster response teams to help Lebanon after the Beirut blast, care for refugees in war-torn Armenia and bring relief to Southeast Asia following super typhoons and tropical storms.
