Your Generosity Matters

Every year, thousands of Australians and New Zealanders make a commitment to help people in Jesus’ Name alongside our team across the world. Our global community is made up of prayers, givers, volunteers, advocates and more – and Samaritan’s Purse is grateful for each of these faithful, generous individuals who sacrifice so much to partner with us.

Read below as a few of our partners share their heart for the ministry and why they got involved:

Milica and Geoff

“We want to be good stewards of our money, and Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child are worthwhile ministries to be donating to. Samaritan’s Purse is a good steward of our donations and we have seen our donations be a blessing to so many people.

We know that over 90% of our donations go to the work on the field. And these projects aren’t just dumped on the people, they are worked and reworked until the teams produce what they set out to. Samaritan’s Purse is committed to making a difference to the quality of life in countries like Cambodia and Mongolia, demonstrating God’s love in a tangible way.

It’s a privilege for us to see God work through our investment and a blessing for the people receiving the help. They are so grateful to know that they now have a purpose and future because of the care and commitment from Samaritan’s Purse.”

Rob and Wendy

“We got connected through Operation Christmas Child and loved it, then we looked into more of what Samaritan’s Purse does and we were blown away by the variety of different ways the ministry is helping people in Jesus’ Name.

We are passionate about Samaritan’s Purse because they go to some of the most remote places in the world, where many others don’t. The ministry is not focused on the money or return, they are interested in human beings and helping them when they have no one else to turn to. This mission aligns with our hearts.

The groundwork that Samaritan’s Purse does in the local community is incredible – not just overseas, but also in Australia. They don’t just drop a project into a community and leave it, they get locals involved and get their hands dirty. And at the end of the day, it costs. The projects need funds to drive them and that’s where we can help the ministry.”

“Partnering with Samaritan’s Purse means we’re helping people together. The ministry’s projects reflect my values and beliefs, which makes it easy to commit to supporting it. With Samaritan’s Purse, you see exactly where your money is going and the majority of it goes directly to the field. And their projects are not just a hand-out of funds. They see each project through to completion.

The commitment to ongoing, long-term relief makes a big impression on me and I feel encouraged to be a part of making a big difference in people’s lives.”
