WAREHOUSE CO-ORDINATOR

Paid role | 15-hours per week | Kings Park, Sydney

We are seeking a Warehouse Co-ordinator to assist the Operations Manager to develop and oversee the Operation Christmas Child project across Australia and New Zealand. This incorporates support in managing all aspects of the domestic and international logistics and operational systems of OCC, transport of shoeboxes, shoebox-related items, and Gifts in Kind (GIK) donations at the National Office based in Kings Park, Sydney.

You will be involved in the logistics movements of all ministries utilising the National warehouse facility.
This position is part-time for 15 hours per week with capacity to increase hours as required during peak season (evening and/or weekend work may be required).

Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse collects over 200,000 gift filled shoeboxes each year for children in developing countries, demonstrating God’s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Essential Responsibilities

To support the Field Operations Manager as required:

  • – Manage the setup and pack down of the Seasonal warehouse space used for OCC processing each year.
  • – Manage the Distribution of all OCC Resources (including packaging and marketing material) across Australia/New Zealand
  • – Manage and implement all logistics movements to facilitate the operations of all ministries utilising the National warehouse facility.
  • – Oversee the storage, deployment, and return of all Disaster Relief assets and warehouse operations.
  • – Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of Disaster Relief equipment stored in warehouse.
  • – Manage warehouse storage facility, ensuring all materials and inventory are stored and documented within the planned allocations and inventory systems.
  • – Maintain accurate inventory stock of warehouse materials and prepare regular inventory reports for ministry managers.
  • – Ensure pallets, materials, and items are off the warehouse floor and properly stored maintaining a safe, orderly environment.
  • – Assist with the unloading of deliveries.
  • – Safely operate a standard forklift and warehouse equipment.
  • – To implement and ensure all appropriate health and safety requirements are in place wherever physical handling related to OCC and SPA projects are carried out.
  • – Undertake or coordinate building and/or equipment maintenance, repair, or modifications.
