Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) Member with experience in Finance, Human Resources, Technology & Data Management

Samaritans Purse is seeking to fill roles on the DART with flexible, service-oriented people who have backgrounds in finance, technology and data management.

DART members with experience in finance, technology, & data management ensure all finances and technological/communications assets are properly deployed and utilised. They come from a wide variety of career backgrounds and plug their professional skills into the DART context to make a response possible.

They work side by side with the rest of the DART personnel and deploy to crisis situations in some of the toughest locations around the world to serve those in desperate need in the name of Jesus. DART Finance, Technology, & Data Management members are workplace professionals who are willing and able to step aside from their normal career for a minimum of 3 weeks at a time to answer the call to respond.

The Samaritans Purse DART program is committed to meeting the critical needs of victims of war, poverty, famine, disease, and natural disaster. We focus on meeting needs in the areas of clean water, food, shelter, and medical care. We stand ready to respond at a moments notice whenever and wherever disaster strikes.

The DART specialises in meeting physical needs in Jesus Name. As deployments occur with little or no warning, DART members must have a flexible schedule and availability to deploy. DART members can be deployed to dangerous places, the living conditions can be challenging and the work days long and hard. However, Samaritans Purse believes in being the first on the ground in order to serve and help those who have suffered through a catastrophic event in the name of Jesus Christ.

How serving on the DART roster works:

DART members are volunteers. They are paid a stipend when they are deployed to a response. Practically, this means that they have careers and life circumstances separate from DART, but when Samaritans Purse initiates a response, we call available DART members to respond and deploy. While a DART member is deployed, Samaritans Purse provides compensation and covers their response-related living and travel costs.
