This is an application for membership of the Australia/New Zealand Disaster Assistance Response Team. It is not an application for employment or for a regular DART position. It is important to note that the nature, location, and occurrence of disasters cannot be predicted, and therefore deployment opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
Samaritan’s Purse is a non-profit, Christian organisation providing emergency relief and development assistance to suffering people around the world. Samaritan’s Purse is meeting the physical needs of victims of war, famine, natural disaster, poverty, and disease with the aim of demonstrating God’s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The aid and assistance are given without regard to the race, creed, gender, religion, or ethnicity of the beneficiaries.
To be a member of our DART, it is important that you share our Christian values and beliefs and agree with the Samaritan’s Purse Statement of Faith and Mission statement.
Having a willingness to serve in any capacity as needed is a wonderful quality but please note that disaster responses are staffed by DART members to fill specific roles. You will therefore need qualifications, skills and/or experience in an area or field as described in the DART Roles for explanations of the roles.
From the list below, please indicate where you see yourself being of the greatest benefit on a DART response. List your reasons in the comments box. Use the DART roles for explanations of the roles.
Please be aware that Samaritan’s Purse Australia/New Zealand carries out the DART program in collaboration with Samaritan’s Purse’s International Headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, USA. If you are offered a role on the DART, you must consent to the sharing of your personal information with Samaritan’s Purse International and their affiliated entities/third-party service providers involved in selecting and implementing the DART program.
