1 Million Food Rations Distributed in Gaza
UPDATE (Oct 3): Samaritan’s Purse, in partnership with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, has now distributed more than 1 million sachets of Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) to hungry women and children in Gaza.
Since this response began, our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and staff have airlifted these life-saving rations across 12 relief flights—and just yesterday, the 1 millionth sachet was placed in the hands of a mother trying to feed her family.
Alongside our food distributions, Samaritan’s Purse medical teams have also been providing urgent first aid to those arriving on-site in need, treating more than 1,400 patients (including recurring patients) to date.
Please continue to pray for families across the Middle East who are suffering and that God would bring peace and salvation to those who do not yet know Him. Please also pray for strength and protection for our staff serving faithfully in Jesus’ Name in Israel, Gaza, and across the region.
UPDATE (Sep 11): Yesterday, our 10th emergency airlift carried 22,000 kilos of supplemental food to help women and children in desperate need.

UPDATE (Aug 13): Since August 2, Samaritan’s Purse has deployed First Aid Teams to Gaza to serve families in desperate need. At local food distribution sites—where people gather to receive life-saving provisions—our medical staff have been on hand to provide care for those who arrive sick, injured, or in distress.
So far, more than 80 patients have been treated for a variety of needs, from wound care to emergency medical attention. Each bandage applied is an opportunity to not only address physical pain, but also to share hope.
We are grateful for the privilege of meeting both physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ Name.

On July 26, Samaritan’s Purse airlifted over 43,000 kilos of ready-to-use, supplemental food supplies aboard its DC-8 and 757 cargo aircraft to help suffering families in Gaza. The flights arrived in Israel earlier today.
The life-saving, nutrient-dense food packets—supplied by MANA, an organisation in the U.S. state of Georgia—will soon be transported into Gaza for distribution by trusted partners. This latest deployment is part of the larger Samaritan’s Purse response to ongoing conflicts across the Middle East.
“Innocent families are suffering in Gaza and Israel, and many lives have been lost since the start of this conflict,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse.
“Samaritan’s Purse is working to help innocent civilians caught in the crossfire. These food supplies are a tangible reminder that God sees them, cares for them, and has not forgotten them in their suffering. Please join me in praying for peace in the Middle East.”
Samaritan’s Purse sent over 43 metric tons of emergency relief to the Middle East this past weekend.Since Oct. 7, 2023, Samaritan’s Purse has been actively providing life-saving aid to innocent civilians affected by the war in both Israel and Gaza in Jesus’ Name. The organisation is working through partners to deliver food, clean water, shelter materials, and other critical supplies to families in need within Palestinian territories while also providing medical aid, trauma kits, and emergency food to Israeli families in need.
Additionally, 22 of 42 ambulances pledged by Samaritan’s Purse have now been delivered to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service. These vehicles, including armoured units, are replacing those destroyed in attacks by Hamas and expanding the agency’s emergency response capacity.
Our 757 (pictured) and DC-8 both left for the Middle East on July 26.Samaritan’s Purse is preparing to send additional relief flights into the region later this week, loaded with more ready-to-use supplemental food supplies.
Please be in prayer for our flight teams and our teams on the ground. Pray also for peace and for relief for all those who are suffering
