We Help in Jesus’ Name

As a Christian charity, Samaritan’s Purse Australia and New Zealand brings physical relief and hope to victims of war, poverty, disaster, disease and famine across the world. No matter where we go to help, we always go in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The Need

When disasters strike around the world, Samaritan’s Purse responds immediately, quickly mobilising staff and experienced relief workers to partner with local churches to provide critically needed disaster relief to people in need.

We work in over 100 countries, addressing critical needs such as food, clean water, shelter and medicine. We also help hurting homeowners in Australia and New Zealand who are devastated by natural disasters.

Our Work

We have responded to devastating earthquakes in Haiti, Ecuador, and Nepal; typhoons in the Philippines; and to large-scale refugee crises in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We have sent teams to fight infectious diseases such as Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We deployed our Emergency Field Hospital to Italy, New York City, California and North Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also deployed our field hospital to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

Our volunteers continue to work hard clearing and repairing homes for bushfire and flood victims in Australia. We’re also ministering to children in poverty, women who are victims of domestic violence, and human trafficking victims.

Your Support

We praise God for the many lives that have already been transformed through these projects. However, the problem is far from over. We have to do it together. Your gift today will help Samaritan’s Purse continue this life-giving work, and help lead men, women and children in desperate need towards a brighter future.

Will you help provide relief to a hurting world?
