Samaritan’s Purse (“the Ministry”) is committed to the highest standards of legal, moral, and ethical conduct. As part of fulfilling this commitment, Samaritan’s Purse requires all employees to report concerns regarding activity that may be illegal, unethical, or violate the Samaritan’s Purse Christian Code of Conduct, the Employee Handbook or any of our other policies.
This form is to be used to facilitate the reporting of violations in accordance with Samaritan’s Purse policy. The policy applies to activities of the Ministry, or any person associated with or doing business with the Ministry, and provides for the reporting of misconduct violations while ensuring confidentiality and protection against retaliation.
Do not use this form to report an immediate threat to life or property. If you require emergency assistance and it is safe to do so, please contact the appropriate local authorities.
If you are unable to submit this form electronically, you may download this form and submit via e-mail at concerns@samaritanspurse.org.au or mail to Compliance, P.O. Box 964 Kings Langley NSW 2147.
The more information you provide, the better we will be able to determine appropriate measures to address your concerns.
If possible, you should include information that answers the following questions:
Who: committed the wrongdoing (name of person, company or organisation), who may have been a victim, and who may be a witness?
What: exactly did the person, company or organisation do?
Where: did the wrongdoing take place?
When: did the wrongdoing happen?
Why: did the person, company, or organisation commit the wrongdoing?
In addition, please include information about any other potential tips, documents, or evidence that may be helpful.
You may provide information anonymously, but you should be aware that if we require further information to assess your complaint, we may not be able to act on your report.
If the information we receive does not have enough detail for us to proceed, or if we cannot assess the merit of the information, we may postpone taking action until further, specific details are reported.
Upon receipt of your information, Samaritan’s Purse, may take any one of the following actions:
1. Open an investigation;
2. Refer the matter to the Samaritan’s Purse Executive Director for review; or
3. Refer the information to the specific Samaritan’s Purse ministry leader which the report references.
If you have provided your identity, unless you are contacted directly by one of our investigators or other staff, there will be no communication from our office to you except for correspondence that may advise you that your matter has been referred to the Samaritan’s Purse management.
The information you provide will be processed according to our internal policies and guidelines, and appropriate action will be taken pursuant to those policies and guidelines. The decision to take action relating to a report through an investigation or management referral is made in consultation with Samaritan’s Purse senior leadership.
