Seven brave responders from Australia and New Zealand have joined the international response to bring urgent relief to the heart of the earthquake zone.

Samaritan’s Purse have deployed their largest Emergency Field Hospital—complete with operating theatres, an ER, inpatient wards, a pharmacy, and a lab—offering critical care where it’s needed most.

Michelle, an ER doctor from NSW, will work on the frontline, triaging and treating earthquake-related injuries in a fast-paced, multicultural setting. Nurses Annette, Anne, and Olivia will serve in the inpatient ward, supporting patients through recovery, often extending spiritual and emotional care while sharing God’s love.

A New Zealand nurse will assist with lifesaving surgeries, while Christine, an emergency specialist from WA, is providing essential HR and administrative support on the ground.

With the city’s water supply destroyed, Greg from NSW has joined the clean water team to restore access for thousands, preventing the spread of disease and restoring hope.

As you read this a further six team members, five from Australia and one from New Zealand will have departed to join the on the ground response to serve with their skills in Myanmar.
