Overview

In March, historic flooding spread across New South Wales resulting in hundreds of damaged properties and formed evacuations. Samaritan’s Purse is currently responding to meet the needs of flood-affected individuals in the areas of Port Macquarie, North Haven, Wauchope, and surrounding area. Dangerously high water levels caused power outages and forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate. Samaritan’s Purse is currently working alongside local churches in Port Macquarie, North Haven, Wauchope, and other areas to assist homeowners with flood clean-up and recovery. Volunteers are currently providing free assistance to flood-damaged homeowners including:

  • Debris clean-up
  • Mucking out flooded homes
  • Removing damaged walls/cabinets/flooring
  • Mould removal and sanitation.

No skills are required to volunteer, and necessary training and instruction are provided. If you are affected and live in the Port Macquarie/North Haven region, and require assistance, please call 0123 456 789 or email dru3@samaritanspurse.org.au.
