Samaritan’s Purse facilitates development and humanitarian aid projects in over 100 countries around the world. Whether a community has been hard-hit by a disaster or basic necessities are hard to come by, such as clean water, we work through our local staff, volunteers and church partners in Jesus’ Name. We address critical needs such as food, clean water, shelter and medicine. Our teams also care for families in poverty, victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, vulnerable mothers and babies, and much more. As a result, families can be healthy, students can learn effectively, and villages can overcome one of their biggest challenges. Our clean water projects include:
• Household Water Filters
• Hygiene Training
• Sanitation Facilities
• Freshwater Wells
• Community Filtration Systems
Education provides the building blocks for a future free from poverty. Millions of children and adults around the world cannot read or write. To help break this cycle, Samaritan’s Purse is working to provide quality education and vocational training in countries such as Cambodia and the Philippines. We build schools in low-income communities and provide resources such as desks, chalkboards and school supplies, as well as run programs such as We Can Read and Write. Our education projects include:
• Education and Literacy
• School Buildings
• Equipping Teachers
• Vocational Training
Families engaged in subsistence farming often live in chronic poverty and malnutrition, lacking the skills to get the most out of their small patches of land. Others have seen their livelihoods wiped out by drought, disaster, or war. Samaritan’s Purse is helping to provide thousands of impoverished farmers, herders, and fishermen around the world with the resources and training they need to feed their families and even obtain a modest income that can be used for education, medical care, or other needs. This includes:
Health and Nutrition
Samaritan’s Purse is working to improve the health of vulnerable children, families, and communities by providing medical equipment, building health clinics, empowering local health personnel and supporting community health initiatives.
Vulnerable Communities
People all over the world face the dark reality of abandonment, exploitation, and abuse. Samaritan’s Purse works to reach the most vulnerable of these through programs like abuse prevention, safe migration and trafficking awareness, general/child health and disability care and vocational training.
Church Resourcing
Samaritan’s Purse is working to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through programs that share the Gospel and help believers grow in their faith. Our projects include evangelistic training, bibles & Christian literature and church building.
