Stanthorpe, QLD | Bushfire Relief | 2019
20 July 2022
In September 2019, Samaritan’s Purse Australian Disaster Relief deployed to Stanthorpe, Queensland, in response to the devastation caused by the bushfires. Volunteers assisted homeowners whose properties were destroyed by the fires by clearing debris, removing fallen trees and branches, and sifting through the ashes to locate important personal items.
The team also distributed fire recovery kits, which included items such as shovels, rakes, hammers, gloves, face masks and overalls. These kits provided families with basic tools to enable them to make a start on clearing their properties.
